SUMMER CAMPS
Has your kiddo been wanting to learn how to decorate sugar oookies, cakes and cupcakes? Then we have the perfect Summer Camps for them!
Most Camps are Monday thru Thursday, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Cute as a Button Bakery’s new dedicated classroom space, 903 Honea Egypt Rd., Magnolia TX 77354, Unit C! There will be separate camps for 8-12 year olds and 13 and older (Teens) and projects will be age appropriate for each group. A light snack will be provided daily. Camps are intended to be drop-off, but if you want to stay with your child, you are certainly welcome to do so. We want you and your kiddo to feel comfortable and have fun!
Ages 8 and above are welcome (must be able to follow directions and work independently though Trish will be walking around and assisting all students). For this reason, class size will be limited so all students receive ample attention. All students will need to be registered if decorating their own set of cookies, cake, cupcakes etc. No refunds will be given within 2 weeks of the class if you are unable to attend as supplies will have already been purchased. If Cute as a Button Bakery cancels camp for any reason, all enrollments will be refunded. Below are descriptions of each week and the projects that are planned. Please note these are subject to change at the discretion of the bakery if we feel another theme would be better suited for the group enrolled.
All Supplies will be provided and each student will receive a personalized apron to use throughout camp and take home at the end of the week! They will also receive a “Baking with my Bestie” Cookbook to inspire them to bake more! There will also be fun prizes given out throughout the week!
Cost for each week is $180 for the full 4-day camp. Enrolling more than one child? Or enrolling in more than week? You can save 15% on multiple camps by entering the discount code for the number of camps total. For example, if you are enrolling in 2 camps total, enter the code 2CAMPS, if enrolling in 3 camps, enter the code 3CAMPS. The discount for the second, third, and subsequent camps will be automatically added.
Monday June 16 - Thursday June 19 - Cupcake Camp - 8-12 year olds
This camp will have the kiddos learning to make and color buttercream icing and decorating 6 cupcakes every day with super fun themes like Under the Sea, Minions, Unicorns/Rainbows, and Farm Animals! Campers will learn how to use candies and sprinkles when decorating their cupcakes as well as adding some fondant details.
Tuesday June 24 - Friday June 27 - Cupcake Camp - Teens (13+)
This camp will have the teens learning to make, flavor and color buttercream icing and decorating 6 cupcakes every day with fun themes like Imposters (spaghetti and meatballs, hamburgers, etc), Summer Treats, Trolls, Succulents and Florals! Campers will learn how to use candies and sprinkles when decorating, use fondant as accent pieces, and how to pipe buttercream with special metal icing tips. Students will take home some of the metal icing tips used in class so they can recreate their cupcakes at home!
Monday July 7 - Thursday July 10 - Cookie Camp - 8-12 year olds
This camp will have the kiddos learning to make, flavor and color royal icing for sugar cookies. Campers will decorate 6 cookies each day in fun themes like Sports, Under the Sea, Dinosaurs, and Summer Treats! Campers will learn how to outline and flood cookies and add all the details to their cookies!
Monday July 14 - Thursday July 17- Cookie Camp - Teens (13+)
This camp will have the teens learning to make, flavor and color royal icing for sugar cookies. Campers will decorate 6 cookies each day in fun themes like Happy Camper, Slumber Party, Hello Kitty & Friends, and Let’s Bake! Campers will learn to outline and flood cookies and add all the details to their cookies using different decorating techniques!
Monday, July 21 - Thursday July 24 - Cake Camp - 8-12 year olds
This camp will have the kiddos learning how to tort, fill and ice a buttercream cake. Campers will decorate cakes with the following fun themes: Ladybug, Lion’s Face or Large Flower, Unicorn, and Ice Cream Cone! Campers will learn how to pipe details on their cakes as well as add fondant details.
Monday, July 28 - Thursday July 31 - Cake Camp - Teens (13+)
This camp will have the teens learning how to tort, fill and ice a buttercream cake. Campers will decorate cakes with the following fun themes: Vintage heart cake, Starbuck’s gravity defying cake, Comic Cake and Character of themselves with Balloons Cake! Campers will learn how to add piping details with metal tips, how to add fondant accents, and how to add other elements to their cakes!
