SUMMER CAMPS

Need activities for the kiddos during the summer months? We offer super fun cookie, cupcake and cake decorating camps that will teach the kiddos new skills, unleash their creativity and help build confidence as well! Registration for Summer Camps is now open!

All camps will be held at our adorable Decorating Studio in Magnolia (903 Honea Egypt Rd, Unit C in the Magnolia Woods Office Park)! Each camp is a week-long camp (Monday thru Friday) and you can enroll in the morning cookie camp, the afternoon cake/cupcake camp or the entire day which includes both the cookie and the cake/cupcake camps!

Cookie Camps will be Monday - Friday from 9 am - 12 pm and we will decorate 6 themed cookies daily and are $225 for the week. Campers will learn many different skills during the week, which may include: how to make and color royal icing, outline and flood cookies, use different icing techniques, add texture to their cookies, use edible images and printers, airbrush, stencil and add fondant details to their cookies! Campers will take home 6 decorated cookies daily!

Cake/Cupcake Camps will be Monday - Friday from 1 pm - 4 pm and we will decorate either a 6 inch themed cake or at least 6 cupcakes (cupcake cakes will have more cupcakes) daily and we will do a variety during the week, 3 cakes or 2 sets of cupcakes or 2 cakes and 3 sets of cupcakes each week (depending on th day’s theme) and are $225 for the week. Campers will learn many different skills during the week, and may include the following: how to make and color buttercream icing, tort and crumb coat a cake, fill a cake, ice a cake smooth, texturize the sides of a cake, use icing tips for different effects, use fondant details on a cake, cover a cake with fondant, and airbrush and stencil a cake! Campers will take home a cake or cupcake treats daily!

Daily camps include both the cookie class and the cake/cupcake class, are Monday - Friday, 9 am - 4 pm, with a break from 12 pm - 1 pm for lunch. Please send a bagged lunch for your child. Daily camps are $400/week ($50 savings)!

Camps are intended to be drop-off, but if you want to stay with your child, you are certainly welcome to do so. We want you and your kiddo to feel comfortable and have fun!

Ages 7 and above are welcome (must be able to follow directions and work independently though the Bakery owner and staff will be walking around and assisting all students. For this reason, class size will be limited so all students receive ample attention. All staff are certified in First Aid/CPR and have a food handler’s or food manager’s certificate. No refunds will be given after May 1st if you are unable to attend as supplies will have already been purchased and registration will have closed so the seat can no longer be filled. If Cute as a Button Bakery cancels camp for any reason, a refund (prorated if necessary) for the time missed, will certainly be issued. Below are descriptions of each week’s themes that are planned. Please note these are subject to change at the discretion of the Bakery if we feel another daily theme would be better suited for the group enrolled.

All materials and supplies will be provided. No prior decorating experience necessary. All Campers will receive a personalized apron on the first day of camp and other gifts during camp (will vary but include things such as scribe tools, bookmarks, bags, hats, piping tips, stencils, etc). Campers enrolled in multiple camps will receive other personalized items in lieu of another apron.
